Born in England. Emigrated to Canada as a child.
Graduated Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University).
Studied with Jack Shadbolt, Peter Aspel, Roy Kiyooka, Don Jarvis and
Wayne Ngan.
Initially, I concentrated on the creation of organic form sculptural
pieces. I exhibited work in various galleries and juried shows,
winning several national awards. I returned to painting on a
full-time basis in the 1990s and worked in oil or acrylic on canvas.
Many of my abstract paintings explore the changing organic nature of
life. I try to offer a visual language grounded in the emotive force
of colour and the clear expression of line. Recent works also
include representational landscapes.
